    Terms and Conditions

    Effective and last updated: September 12, 2026 · Version 2026-09-12.2

    1. About these Terms

    These Terms govern access to and use of the TaskBody website, marketplace, and related services (the “Platform”). By creating an account, you must explicitly accept the current version of these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

    TaskBody connects people requesting work (“Clients”) with people or businesses offering services (“Professionals”). TaskBody does not perform the work and is not a party to the service agreement between a Client and a Professional.

    2. Accounts and eligibility

    • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
    • You must provide accurate information and keep it current.
    • You are responsible for your credentials and activity under your account.
    • Professionals are responsible for holding any licence, insurance, qualification, or permission required for their work.

    A “verified” badge is a marketplace status stored by TaskBody. It is not a guarantee of identity, licensing, qualifications, insurance, quality, or suitability. Users must make their own checks.

    3. Marketplace content and visibility

    Job listings may be visible publicly and can include the title, description, category, district, budget, timing, a stable Client identifier, Client avatar, and Client initials. Do not place phone numbers, email addresses, social handles, URLs, messaging usernames, or other direct contact details in a job title or description.

    A job’s exact address, uploaded photos and documents, and the Client’s unmasked phone number and email are protected. They are available to the Client, authorized administrators, and a Professional who has unlocked that job. Locked Professionals may see masked contact information, media counts, and a deliberately blurred, obscured preview of a job photo.

    Professional directory and profile information is public. It may include the Professional’s display name, avatar, biography, services, skills, service areas, rates, qualifications, languages, ratings, reviews, completed-job count, marketplace badge, plan tier, project photos, and business website or professional social links. Direct email, phone, WhatsApp, billing details, credit balance, and moderation information are not part of the public professional profile. A Professional’s available email, phone number, and WhatsApp number are visible to active logged-in users on that Professional’s profile. No credit purchase, job unlock, or previous relationship is required for this logged-in access.

    Reviews are public. Platform messages and quote details are available only to authorized account participants, subject to job-access rules.

    4. Quotes and service agreements

    Professionals may submit prices, availability, timing, and messages in response to jobs. A quote or acceptance action on TaskBody does not itself guarantee performance or create a contract with TaskBody. Clients and Professionals are responsible for agreeing the final scope, price, payment, timing, cancellation terms, and any written contract between them.

    TaskBody does not collect or administer payment for work performed between Clients and Professionals. Disputes about the work or direct service payments are between those users.

    5. Credits and job access

    TaskBody currently sells one-time credit packages to Professionals. TaskBody does not currently offer an active recurring subscription purchase or renewal service. Legacy subscription data may be retained only for account history and cleanup.

    The credit cost for job access is configurable and is shown in the Platform before a charged action. Submitting a quote or choosing to unlock a job may deduct the displayed number of credits. A successful unlock gives that Professional access to the protected job details and contact information and permits job-linked quoting and messaging. The same Professional is not charged again for the same job while the unlock record and relevant job data remain available. Professionals with a historical quote may retain equivalent access without a new charge.

    Credits are Platform units only. They have no cash value, are not transferable between accounts, and cannot be redeemed for cash. Access may still be limited by job status, account restrictions, deletion, legal requirements, or removal of data.

    6. Credit purchases, Stripe, and refunds

    Credit purchases are one-time card payments in euros processed through Stripe Checkout. Stripe, not TaskBody, handles card details. Purchased credits are added after TaskBody verifies a paid Checkout session, including through the return flow or a signed Stripe webhook.

    Except where applicable law requires otherwise, completed credit purchases are non-refundable. TaskBody may restore credits after a confirmed technical error or failed charged feature. Duplicate or incorrect payment charges can be reviewed through support; any monetary refund is handled manually if required by law or expressly approved. There is no automated self-service Stripe refund feature.

    Contact support@taskbody.com with the account email, transaction date, amount, and reason for a payment review. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

    7. Acceptable use

    You must not:

    • post fake, unlawful, misleading, infringing, or fraudulent content;
    • harass, threaten, discriminate against, impersonate, or abuse another person;
    • submit false qualifications, reviews, jobs, quotes, or reports;
    • scrape, harvest, sell, or misuse personal data;
    • send spam or use contact details outside the relevant service relationship;
    • bypass credit, access, security, or moderation controls;
    • upload malicious files or interfere with the Platform.

    8. Reports and account enforcement

    Authenticated users can report users, professional profiles, messages, reviews, and jobs. Reports may be reviewed by authorized administrators. TaskBody may remove content, issue a warning, suspend access, reinstate an account, or ban an account after human administrative action. Reasons and status changes are recorded for moderation purposes.

    Suspended and banned accounts are blocked from authentication and authenticated Platform functions; active sessions and connections may be ended. Restricted users and their eligible marketplace content may also be removed from public discovery. A warning does not itself block login.

    Questions or appeals may be sent to support@taskbody.com. Appeals are currently handled by email; the Platform does not provide an in-app appeal case tracker.

    9. User content

    You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant TaskBody a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, transform, moderate, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and promote the Platform and enforce these Terms.

    You must have the right to submit the content. You are responsible for keeping copies of content you need.

    10. Availability and disclaimers

    The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, TaskBody does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, successful matching, the accuracy of user content, job completion, service quality, or the identity, licensing, insurance, or conduct of users.

    Users must assess each other and use appropriate contracts, insurance, payment protections, and safety precautions.

    11. Liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TaskBody is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from Platform use or dealings between users. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

    12. Privacy and account closure

    The Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled. Account holders can request an export, submit privacy requests, change consent choices, and delete their account through the available account controls. Some pseudonymized transaction, safety, dispute, and legal records may be retained after deletion.

    13. Changes

    TaskBody may update these Terms. The current effective date and version appear at the top of this page. Material changes may require renewed acceptance before account creation or continued use. Posting a new version does not remove rights that already apply under law.

    14. Governing law and severability

    These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, subject to any mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rules that apply. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited only as necessary and the remaining provisions continue.

    15. Contact

    Questions about these Terms, payments, moderation, or appeals can be sent to support@taskbody.com.

    These Terms describe the current Platform implementation and are general information, not legal advice. Qualified Cyprus/EU counsel must approve them before publication as final legal terms.
